Lawyer seeks venue change in Bahrain trial
MANAMA, Bahrain, Jan. 20 (UPI) — An attorney for a group of defendants suspected of plotting to destabilize Bahrain says he wants the case to be heard in Bahrain’s Constitutional Court.
Attorney Abdul Rahman Ghunaim said he hoped the move would expedite resolution of the case for 25 defendants in the Persian Gulf island kingdom and end weeks of stalling, Gulf News reported.
